Food & Beverage Flooring

14 reviews

Seamless, hygienic flooring for food and beverage production, built to pass audits and stay compliant long term.

Food and beverage floors are under pressure from every direction. Hot oils, fats, acids, sugars, constant washdown, strong sanitisers and forklift or trolley traffic all hit the same surface, and any crack or joint that opens up becomes a place for bacteria to hide. A floor that fails here is a compliance problem, not just a maintenance one.

We install epoxy and resin flooring for food and beverage facilities across Perth and WA, including production lines, bakeries, dairies, processing areas and packing rooms. Every system is specified around your process and your hygiene requirements, not a generic food-grade label.

Where We Install Food & Beverage Flooring

  • Food production and processing facilities
  • Bakeries and baking production areas
  • Dairies and beverage production
  • Abattoirs, meat and poultry processing
  • Packing, dispatch and storage areas
  • Washdown and wet-processing zones

Built to Pass the Audit

A food-grade floor has to be non-porous, seamless and easy to sanitise. Epoxy is installed with no joins, gaps or cracks, and can be coved up the wall so there’s no right-angle junction for dirt and bacteria to collect in. HACCP-aligned systems are available where your compliance requirements call for them, and the finished surface stands up to hot oil spills, fats, acids and the harshest cleaning chemicals and sanitisers.

Safe Underfoot, Even When It's Wet

Wet floors and fats are a serious slip risk in food environments. Non-slip finishes can be built into the system, with R12/P5 rated profiles available as standard for food-grade areas. The aggregate is matched to your washdown routine so the floor keeps its grip over time without becoming difficult to clean.

Installation Without Stopping Production

Production schedules rarely allow a full shutdown, so we plan installation in stages around your operation, with fast-curing systems available where continuity is critical. Every project begins with proper concrete preparation, because the floor is only as good as the slab it bonds to.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a floor "food grade"?
A food-grade floor is non-porous, seamless and resistant to the fats, acids and cleaning chemicals present in food production. It has no joins or cracks where bacteria can collect, and it can be washed down and sanitised repeatedly without breaking down.
Do food and beverage floors need drainage falls?
In wet and washdown areas, yes. The floor is laid to a fall that directs water to drains, so it doesn't pool. Getting the fall and the coving right at installation is just as important as the resin system itself.
How do you protect the floor from thermal shock in hot wash areas?
We select systems suited to the temperature range of the area, including hot washdown, steam and cold storage. Where a standard epoxy isn't the right fit, we'll specify a more suitable resin system rather than risk early failure.
Can you install in a facility that runs 24 hours a day?
Often, yes. We stage the work by zone and plan around your production schedule, so lines can keep running while other areas are completed.
How does flooring affect food safety audits?
Auditors look at whether surfaces are cleanable, intact and free from cracks, pooling and degraded joints. A seamless, correctly coved floor in good condition makes those checks simple, while a worn or cracked one can become an audit finding.
